Terms of Service
TranslatorPub.com · TP Creative · Last updated 1 October 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website www.translatorpub.com, its dashboard, e-mails, feeds and APIs (the “Platform”), operated under the brand TranslatorPub.com, including TP Language and Creative Hub and TP Creative (together “TranslatorPub”, “TP”, “we”, “us”).
By creating an account, posting a job, sending a quote, listing an association or using a feed or API, you accept these Terms and the documents they refer to: the Privacy Policy, the Acceptable Use Policy, the Membership & Billing Terms and, where relevant, the Partner API & Feed Terms, the Directory & Association Listing Terms and the Data Processing Agreement.
If you use the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you may bind that organisation, and “you” includes it.
2. What TranslatorPub is and is not
TranslatorPub is an online marketplace and directory. It connects freelance linguists and creatives, language service providers (agencies), direct clients and associations. It lists jobs, quotes, public tenders and profiles.
TranslatorPub is not a party to any contract between members. When a client or agency awards a job, the contract for that work is made directly between them and the linguist, creative or agency. They alone are responsible for its scope, quality, deadlines, confidentiality, invoicing, taxes and payment. Unless we expressly say otherwise in writing for a particular service, we do not employ, act as agent for, or guarantee any member.
We don’t provide legal, immigration, tax or employment advice, and we don’t certify translations ourselves.
3. Accounts and eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts.
- Register with accurate, current and complete information, keep it up to date, and register only one account per person (agencies may add team seats under their plan).
- Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at once through a support ticket if you suspect unauthorised use.
- We may review, approve, reject, suspend or close registrations, for example to protect members, verify information or enforce these Terms.
- Verification badges state exactly what we checked (for example, e-mail or organisation domain) and nothing more. A badge is not a guarantee of quality, identity or credentials beyond what it names.
4. Profiles, photos and logos
You decide what goes into your profile. Directory profiles are shown to signed-in members; association listings and public job pages are visible to everyone. Direct clients are never listed publicly, and public job pages never show a company name.
You may upload a profile photo (linguists and creatives) or a logo (agencies, clients and associations). You confirm that you own the image or are allowed to use it, that a photo shows you, and that a logo belongs to the organisation you represent. We may remove any image that breaks these Terms.
5. Jobs, quotes and tenders
- Posting jobs is free. Job posters must describe real, lawful work that they are able to award and pay for, including language pair, scope, deadline and budget where known.
- Quotes are offers from the sender to the job poster. Rates are shown as entered by the member, with their unit and currency.
- Depending on the plan, new jobs may appear to Free members after a delay, and the number of quotes per week may be limited. Details are in the Membership & Billing Terms.
- Jobs may also come from partners through our Partner API, and public tenders from official open-data sources. We show them as published by the source, in the original language, and are not responsible for their accuracy. Always check the original notice before bidding.
- Awarded jobs may stay listed marked as assigned or filled for a period so members can see recent activity. They no longer accept quotes.
6. Your content and licence to us
You keep all rights in the content you submit (profiles, job descriptions, quotes, messages, files, images, association data).
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, format and transmit that content only as needed to run, show and promote the Platform (for example, showing your public job or association listing, sending job alerts, or passing an application back to the partner who published a job). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups kept for a limited time and content other members already received (for example, messages).
You confirm that your content is accurate, lawful and yours to share, and that sharing any personal data or confidential files in it is permitted. Where you share files containing personal data with other members, the Data Processing Agreement applies.
7. Messages and communications
Messages between members are for real work. We may review reported messages and automated signals to fight spam, fraud and abuse.
We send service e-mails you need (for example, account, security, support replies, billing and job alerts you enabled). Marketing e-mails are sent only if you opted in, and every one has an unsubscribe link. For help, use our support ticket system. The info@ inbox is not monitored.
8. Fees
Basic membership is free. Paid plans, add-ons (such as the Tender Feed) and one-off job unlocks are described on the Membership page and governed by the Membership & Billing Terms. Prices include the currency shown and are charged through our payment provider.
9. Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In short: be honest, don’t spam, don’t scrape, don’t harass anyone, don’t post illegal or infringing content, and don’t try to break or overload the Platform.
10. Our intellectual property
The Platform, its software, design, taxonomy, text and the TranslatorPub, TP Language and Creative Hub and TP Creative names and logos belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, resell, frame or build a competing database from the Platform or its directory, except as expressly allowed by these Terms or a partner agreement.
11. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Platform available and secure, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. We may change, add or remove features. Where a change materially reduces a paid feature you are currently paying for, we will tell you in advance, and you may cancel as described in the Membership & Billing Terms.
12. Suspension and termination
- You can close your account at any time from Settings. Closing takes your profile off the Platform, ends your membership and stops all notifications. Quotes you already sent and jobs already awarded stay part of the other member’s business records. To have your personal data deleted completely, ask us through a support ticket.
- We may suspend or close an account, remove content or withhold access to a feature if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect members or the Platform. Where reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. You can dispute any decision through a support ticket.
- Sections that by their nature should survive (for example, licences already used, liability, and disputes) survive termination.
13. Disclaimers
We don’t guarantee that you will win work, receive quotes, or that any member, job, tender or payment is genuine, accurate or suitable. Do your own checks before accepting or awarding work, especially before sharing confidential files or paying.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, or for disputes between members. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and (b) EUR 100.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
15. Indemnity
If you use the Platform for business, you will compensate us for reasonable losses and costs arising from third-party claims caused by your content, your contracts with other members, or your breach of these Terms or the law.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. For material changes we will notify members by e-mail or in the dashboard at least 14 days in advance, and ask for renewed acceptance where required. If you don’t agree, you may close your account before the change takes effect.
17. Disputes and governing law
Please contact us first through a support ticket. Most issues can be solved quickly.
Mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live continue to apply. Consumers in the EU may also use their local consumer advice centres.
18. Contact
Contact us through a support ticket at https://www.translatorpub.com/contact. You don’t need an account, and every ticket is answered by our team.
