What we use

• Sign-in session: stored in your browser’s local storage so you stay signed in. It is strictly necessary for the service you ask for.
• Interface preferences: for example, whether the sidebar is open, or light or dark mode. These are strictly necessary for features you use.
• Member offer: if you start from an association’s or school’s link before you have an account, the link and what you entered (member code, membership number or university e-mail) are kept in local storage until you sign in (at most 7 days), so the price can be applied.
• Security: our hosting providers may set technical cookies to protect against abuse.

What we don’t use

We don’t use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking or third-party analytics cookies. Because we only use strictly necessary storage, the law doesn’t require a consent banner. If this ever changes, we will ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookie.
