I am pleased to be selected as a moderator here. Having spent a decade in the translation world has given me a lot of experience and insight that I hope will add value to Translatopub.

Anke is of German nationality and holds a university degree in English, Spanish and Business Studies. She worked 5 years for Lufthansa German Airlines before she fell in love with Argentina and its people. She quit her job and moved to the South-American continent where she taught English at a private bilingual school in a little town in the state of Cordoba, near the Chilean border. She then moved to Buenos Aires where she worked as a translator and interpreter in the national union of water supply employees. Eventually, she returned to Germany where she lives together with her Argentine husband and an Argentine Bat Dog in the Black Forest, working as a freelance translator for German, English and Spanish and also offering consultancy services for business start-ups in virtual worlds.

Hi everybody! I'm Caroline – a brand new alumni of Middle Tennessee State University. After having studied a year in Germany at FASK University in order to better my German speaking and writing skills, I went back home to Murfreesboro to finish getting my bachelor's degree in German and succeeded in getting a 3.4 GPA while having worked full time as a manager at Fazoli's! (Can you tell I'm proud of myself?)

Although I studied German and Spanish in high school and college, my post-MTSU travels have somehow led me to northern Italy, where I'm currently living and working on mastering the Italian language as well.

Because my life here consists almost solely of computer work, I'm easy to get in touch with and always quick to respond! Hope to see you around!
