Overview
Dear, all.
I am a native Korean living in Seoul.
I can help many of your translation projects and proofreading in various fields.
I have 5+ years of professional translation experiences in English to Korean documents related to memorandums, official documents, e-mails from my military service in the U.S Army as well as news articles, papers during my experiences in a start-up IT company.
My specialized field is IT, especially Software/Application/Games translation and technical document(manual, specifications, product descriptions) I have completed many localization projects including a brand new social networking company and a telecommunication company as well as many individual mobile apps/games developers.
I have access to Computer Aided Translation tools such as Trados Studio as well as Notepad++ (mainly for XML, HTML strings translation), MS Excel, Word.
My strengths lies in the ability to complete my tasks in the required time with precision and affordable cost.
I strongly believe that I can be of great help if your project requires a tremendous amount of editing, as I do not simply proofread for grammatical errors or typos; substantial editing is what I actually offer my clients.

Education & Experiences
1999-2006 B.A, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Korea University
I started my translation experiences during my college years. There were so many translated textbooks on sale for my major, but quality of translation was sometimes very disappointing so
I started have a dream to be an excellent translator for students of my major.
2003-2005 Military Service, a Translator in the 8TH U.S Army, South Korea
As a mandatory military service member, one of my duties was to translate a lot of documents, emails for my senior officials. It was invaluable experience in my lifetime because I had direct communications 24/7, friendships with many U.S army service members, understanding cultural differences.
2006-2009 A mobile software developer, translator for a start-up company in Seoul, South Korea
In this period, I had translated many technical documents, articles for reference purposes.
My specialized field in translation was set to IT from this period. I've started having tremendous interest in sprouting mobile technologies, software, apps/games.
2009-now A freelance translator
I started self-taught studies from literature, automobile magazines, news articles, copywriting, etc and more computer skills to become a more advanced professional translator for my field.
One of the most important things in translation is perfect communication with my clients so original intent for every word in every paragraph is not ignored. My clients were always satisfied with my excellent communication, quality of translation within their preferred end date.
