I had my first taste of the translation industry in 2001 when I spent a total of 6 months working as an intern at two European translation departments. I went on to complete my MA in Translation at the University of Surrey in 2004 and was awarded both a Distinction and a prize for outstanding performance. I then worked variously using my language skills, including as a project manager at two UK translation companies, before becoming a freelance translator in 2007. |
